A wood from Estonia, the thermally treated pine is both charred and brushed. The appearance is deeply infused into the wood, giving it a unique finish.
- Allow wood to acclimatize on-site for at least 5–7 days before installation.
- Orientation: horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, depending on design and/or profile.
- Use kiln-dried structural timber battens (C24) or an aluminium cladding system, spaced max. 400–600 mm, depending on board size.
Ensure continuous rear ventilation with a minimum 20 mm air gap behind the cladding. - Install a UV-resistant façade membrane suitable for open-joint and ventilated rainscreen systems.
- Use flashing to protect open cavities and exposed areas where required.
- Use self-drilling stainless steel facade screws (grade A2 or A4); pre-drill where necessary to avoid splitting.
- Hidden clip systems may be used depending on the profile.
- Seal all saw cuts with a compatible touch-up or finishing oil to maintain performance and appearance.
Re-oiling every 4–5 years is recommended if colour retention is desired.
- Country of origin: Finland / Scandinavia
- Fire Resistance (EN 13501-1):
Untreated: D-s1, d0
Treated: B-s2, d0 - Use Class (EN 335): Class 2–3 – suitable for above-ground outdoor use (not ground contact)
Note: Thermo-modification improves dimensional stability and resistance to decay but reduces surface hardness.
