The project

The client chose to wrap her holiday home inside and out in Douglas Fir, and the result is both striking and harmonious. With its warm tones and naturally water-repellent qualities, it’s perfectly suited to the ever-changing moods of the South-West region.

The original freestanding home was partially demolished and rebuilt, allowing for an elegant new extension that expanded the footprint and transformed the overall flow.

To elevate the design even further, we added a few bold touches, timber stairs paired with a sleek steel balustrade bringing a modern edge to the home’s relaxed coastal charm.
