Cap Ferret Project
The project
A house in Cap Ferret clad in Douglas Black.
In the heart of the Cap Ferret pine forest, Atelier Twentyone has just completed a new project showcasing our Douglas Black finish.
Used both externally and internally, the charred timber creates a seamless continuity between the architecture and the various living spaces. Its deep hues and natural texture emphasise the house’s lines, whilst blending harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.
Externally, Douglas Black cladders the façades, lending them character, depth and dimension. Internally, it complements the light-coloured walls, natural timber and natural light to create an atmosphere that is at once warm, elegant and contemporary.
This project illustrates the full potential of charred timber: an expressive and sustainable material, capable of creating a strong architectural identity whilst maintaining a natural connection with its surroundings.
